About the Program
Join Guelph artist and illustrator Werner Zimmerman for an engaging, hands-on drawing workshop. Participants will learn how to draw subjects such as dragons, horses, and other basic forms, progressing from simple shapes to more complex drawings. Werner will tailor the session to the interests of the group, encouraging audience participation and creative exploration. The focus will be on creating drawings that look realistic and three-dimensional rather than flat. Participants will also be encouraged to continue developing their skills through observation and research, using books and other reference materials as inspiration for their artwork.
Books written and/or illustrated by Werner Zimmermann include At the Pond, Snow Day, A Porcupine in a Pine Tree, Listen, said the Donkey, and many more.
