For tweens ages 10 to 14 years old.
"How it Works" Fair is a three-session project series where kids turn curiosity into a show-and-tell!
Over the first two sessions, participants will plan and build a poster that explains how something works — anything at all that sparks their interest. Use your passion, do a little research, sketch diagrams, and design clear step-by-step explanations with words and images. This is where ideas take shape, so bring your curiosity and creativity.
In the final session everyone sets up their poster for the fair and shares their project with the group. It’s a chance to explain what you learned, show how something works, and celebrate everyone’s discoveries. Perfect for budding scientists, inventors, and explainers — and great practice in research, design, and communication.
For tweens ages 10 to 14 years old. Please register each child attending separately.
This program is part of a series. There are 3 sessions taking place on Wednesdays: February 4, 11 and 18.
We kindly remind you that registrations will be removed if the registered person does not meet the program’s specified age requirements.
