For adults in their 20s and 30s.
Our 20s & 30s Book Club is all about keeping things easy, friendly, and fun. Come chat about books, meet other readers around your age, and enjoy a relaxed, no-pressure discussion. Snacks and drinks will be provided, and there’ll be lots of chances to swap recommendations, help choose future book club picks, and connect with fellow book lovers in your community. The group meets once a month and you’re always welcome to join for just one night or keep coming back.
This month we will be reading Funny Story by Emily Henry.
Funny Story follows Daphne, who is left stranded in her ex‑fiancé’s lakeside hometown after he realizes he’s in love with his childhood best friend. Stuck in Waning Bay with no support system and a barely‑paying dream job as a children’s librarian, Daphne unexpectedly becomes roommates with the only person who understands her heartbreak: Miles, her ex’s new girlfriend’s ex. Practical and reserved Daphne is the opposite of scruffy, emotionally chaotic Miles, but a tentative friendship—and a scheme involving staged photos of a fun‑filled summer—draws them closer than either planned. What begins as shared misery slowly turns into something that might just be a better story than the one Daphne lost.
