For Families
Turn the library into a space for imagination, building, and big ideas! Participants will work together to design and build geodesic domes using newspaper and tape, then use other fort-building materials to create all kinds of creative structures. Everyone will also get to make a mini light-up “fort” to take home and keep the building going.
This is a drop-in program for families with children of all ages. Children 10 and under must have an adult in attendance.

The McCormick Branch is nestled in the heart of the Lakeshore neighbourhood, providing exciting resources to its residents. The second oldest of Waterloo Public Library’s locations, the McCormick Branch is small but mighty and is part of the Albert McCormick Community Centre which features a large outdoor play area, splash pad and skate park.
