Innovation, the creation or improvement of a product or process to make a positive impact, has been evident across all sectors during this global pandemic. This session will provide an overview of many inspiring Canadian innovations that can be used as models for developing skills for innovation in young people. The Innovation Cycle will be described as a guide for facilitating Innovation Projects, at home or in school. This session is based on the work of the Rideau Hall Foundation as included on Canadian Innovation Space website.
Dr. Maria Cantalini-Williams was the lead writer and committee chair of the ‘Education for Innovation’ resources being used across Canada. Participants will learn about current research and initiatives related to education and innovation. This session will enhance Canadian pride and motivate participants to foster an innovation mindset!
