About the Waterloo Region Migration Film Festival
The Waterloo Region Migration Film Festival (WRMFF) will run from September 10 to October 2, 2026. The Immigration Partnership organizes the WRMFF annually to facilitate greater discussion around migration and relocation. This is achieved by creating spaces for respectful interaction and dialogue. Storytelling is the oldest way to share and have impactful conversations around social issues. WRMFF serves as an educational tool that can influence perceptions and attitudes toward migrants by bringing attention to matters that affect basic human rights! All of the featured films aim to spark meaningful conversations and will resonate with a diverse audience, including individuals who do not speak English and those who are struggling to find a sense of belonging.
