About the Program
Join us for another special evening of poetry and connection in a welcoming, judgment‑free space—with a themed twist. This session will focus on celebrating Waterloo Public Library’s 150th anniversary, and participants are invited to share original poetry inspired by libraries, third spaces, and the local community. Whether you’re returning or joining us for the first time, this is a chance to explore a shared theme, connect with others, and celebrate the stories that bring our community together.
Whether you’re a seasoned poet or sharing your work for the very first time, this is your chance to present your writing in a supportive atmosphere. Prefer to simply listen and soak in the words? That’s perfectly fine too, everyone is welcome.
Tea and light refreshments will be provided. Due to the time constraint and increase in participation, readers are invited to share no more than five minutes of their work.
Please remember to register to save your seat as spots are limited. Registration will close three hours prior to the program.
Photography Notice: Please note that photographs and videos may be taken at this event and may be broadcast, reproduced, and/or made available in print or online. For individual or small group photos, staff will make attendees aware of their presence and will ask permission before taking photos.
For larger public events, please note that by attending, you are consenting to the use of your appearance, image, and voice in print or digital productions created by the Waterloo Public Library for promotional use only. Please speak to library staff at the event if you’d like to be excluded from any photo/video.
