Program RoomFor Adults
About the Program
In this engaging Book Chat learn more about how our staff created the 'Featured Reads for Summer' book list. This relaxed conversation will explore the charm and lasting appeal of summer reads, and our staff will share how they found out about what was hot and new for the season. What makes a book perfect for summer? Whether you’re reading at the beach, by the pool, on a dock, at a campsite, or in your own backyard, these stories have a special way of becoming part of the season.
Come ready to discover new titles to add to your summer reading list and share your own favourites with fellow readers. It’s a great chance to chat, connect, and find your next great summer read.
About Book Chats
If you love reading, discussing books, and discovering new titles, Book Chats is the perfect place for you. This series offers a welcoming space to explore a variety of genres, revisit old favourites, and hear fresh recommendations from fellow readers and WPL staff. Participate however feels comfortable - whether you read the suggested titles ahead of time and join the conversation, or simply listen and gather ideas for your next great read. Along the way, you’ll learn tips for finding books you’ll love, discover read-alike strategies, and explore special topics such as book awards and trending titles.
