Families with children ages 3 to 7 years old.
Dancing Storytime is a community workshop that invites families with children ages 3 to 7 years old to expand the notions of literacy and introduction to the French language by exploring the interplay of books and movement. In this workshop, families explore Foolish Operations' book called “Moving Resting Nesting / Dans la maison des oiseaux” and try songs and movement games inspired by the world of birds and trees while using blankets for play and movement as a family.
Dance experience is not required. The community workshop is designed for adult participants who can move from the floor to standing, and can be adapted for those with limited mobility. Adults are responsible for their child at all times. All participants, adults and children alike, are asked to wear comfortable clothing, e.g. gym pants/yoga/leggings.
This workshop is led by a visiting guest artist and is part of the brand new – DiSCoVeR series – a theatre and performance series for children (ages 0-8) in Waterloo Region, by Cosmic Fishing Theatre.
For families with children ages 3 to 7 years old. Please register the adult that will be attending and, in the "guests" field, indicate the number of children that will be attending with the adult.
