For tweens ages 9 to 12 years old.
Help pollinators and learn how your garden can make a difference! In this fun, hands-on program for tweens, participants will discover how to create backyard spaces that support bees, butterflies, and other helpful insects. They'll learn why pollinators matter, how to make a garden more inviting for them, and why insects aren’t as scary as they seem.
Everyone will also get to plant sneezeweed—a bright, pollinator-friendly flower—and take it home to grow. All materials provided; no gardening experience needed.
Presented in partnership with the Waterloo Horticultural Society (Waterloo Gardeners).
For tweens ages 9 to 12 years. Please register each tween attending separately.
Please note, a caregiver must remain in the library while children under 10 years of age attend a program.
