About the Program
Are you curious about playing the piano? This beginner‑friendly program is perfect for tweens who have never played before and want to learn the basics. We’ll explore the piano keys, finger placement, simple scales, and how to play with both hands—plus learn simple tunes together.
This class moves at a steady, structured pace and is designed for tweens who enjoy learning new skills step‑by‑step. Each participant will be loaned a WPL keyboard to take home for practice and should bring it to class each week.
Please note that while the instructor is an experienced piano player, they are not a certified teacher.
This program is part of a series running on Mondays: January 4, 11, and 18. Since each session builds on the last and space is limited, we ask that you only register if you can attend all three weeks.
Accessibility Accommodations: We strive to make our programs welcoming and accessible for everyone. If you have any accessibility needs, accommodation requests, or questions about participating, please contact us at wplprogramming@wpl.ca and we'll do our best to support you.
