Come join us as we read stories, make crafts, and have fun together in a safe and supported environment for 2SLGBTQ+ children, families and allies. Each week will feature a different theme and a special book.

Families Under the Rainbow seeks to support children and families' sense of belonging in the community. The goal is to help foster a safe and supportive environment for 2SLGBTQ+ children, their families, and their allies. This program is run in collaboration with several organizations including SPECTRUM, Waterloo Public Library, Region of Waterloo Public Libraries, Kitchener Public Library, Idea Exchange, and Artshine.
Families Under the Rainbow is a program presented in partnership with SPECTRUM - Waterloo Region’s Rainbow Community Space.
This program is designed for children ages 4 to 10 years with a caregiver, but families are welcome.

Located in the heart of Uptown Waterloo, the two-storey building features a separate children’s area, ample study space, the Ellis Little Local History Room and WPL’s largest collection of browsable materials.
