As the common saying goes, “you cannot pour from an empty cup.” In order to take care of other people and tasks, we must take care of ourselves as well. It can be difficult to incorporate beneficial time for yourself given how busy life gets, which is why this program is intentionally designed to give you time for just that.
Participants are invited to find a book in the library that interests them (or bring their own), and then embark on a walk to Waterloo Park where we will practice mindfulness and independently read with a snack. Bring your own blanket or chair for comfort at the park.

Located in the heart of Uptown Waterloo, the two-storey building features a separate children’s area, ample study space, the Ellis Little Local History Room and WPL’s largest collection of browsable materials.
