For kids entering Kindergarten in September 2024. Ages 3 to 5 years old.
We’ll make new friends and explore everything from letters and numbers to turn-taking and getting dressed for recess to help you feel ready for your new adventures in kindergarten. Please note parents/caregivers will be part of the learning process, but there may be times we ask parents/caregivers to leave the room for a short period of time to help children begin to transition to a classroom setting. This program is intended for children born in 2019 or 2020, who are entering kindergarten in September 2024.
This program is part of a series. There are 4 sessions taking place on Thursdays: July 4, 11, 18, and 25.
Early Learning Programs for young children at WPL are based on literacy research and include tips and information for parents and caregivers. Your active participation in these programs will maximize the experience for you and your child.
Transition to Kindergarten is offered multiple times through the summer, and each child is eligible to register for one Transition to Kindergarten program series. We also kindly remind you that registrations will be removed if the registered person does not meet the program’s specified age requirements.
