In this two-part book club we’re discussing the graphic novel The Legend of Auntie Po by Shing Lin Khor. We’ll explore the themes of this book together using art, group discussions and games. For kids ages 10 to 14 years old.
The Legend of Auntie Po is part historical fiction, part magical realism, and 100% adventure. Thirteen-year-old Mei reimagines the myths of Paul Bunyan as starring a Chinese heroine while she works in a Sierra Nevada logging camp in 1885.
