About the Program
Calling all gamers and makers—your new favourite program has arrived! Join us for a fun, Minecraft-fuelled STEM drop-in for Tweens. Using the Minecraft Education program, participants can explore, collaborate, problem-solve, and build their own creations in both Creative and Survival modes while discovering a variety of biomes and STEM concepts.
Minecraft Education also includes built-in safety features, limiting the chat and online world to participants in the program, creating a safe, collaborative environment with the educational foundations of a classroom at WPL! Logins for each participant will be provided by the library. Participants do not need an existing account through their school to participate and will be provided with a login, and the ability to save their builds in the world created for the program to continue building for the entire series of the program.
For tweens ages 8 to 12 years old. Please register each tween attending separately. Please note, a caregiver must remain in the library while children under 10 years of age attend a program.
This program is being offered on various dates, please register for each date separately.
We kindly remind you that registrations will be removed if the registered person does not meet the program’s specified age requirements.
Accessibility Accommodations: We strive to make our programs welcoming and accessible for everyone. If you have any accessibility needs, accommodation requests, or questions about participating, please contact us at wplprogramming@wpl.ca and we'll do our best to support you.
