About the Program
New to computers? This beginner-friendly program is designed for older adults with little to no computer experience. Through small-group instruction and guided practice, participants will learn basic computer skills in a relaxed, supportive environment.
We'll cover foundational topics and provide plenty of time to ask questions, build confidence, and practice new skills at your own pace. No prior experience is needed. Participants will have the option to borrow one of our Chromebooks for the duration of the program.
This program is part of a series. There are 4 sessions taking place on Fridays: October 2, 16, 30, and November 13.
While the McCormick Branch is under construction, this program will take place in the Pop-Up Library in the Albert McCormick Community Centre. The Pop-Up Library is located on the far side of the building beside the West Rink.
Accessibility Accommodations: We strive to make our programs welcoming and accessible for everyone. If you have any accessibility needs, accommodation requests, or questions about participating, please contact us at wplprogramming@wpl.ca and we'll do our best to support you.
