About the Program

Waterloo Public Library is turning 150 in 2026! This drop-in celebration kicks off a season of anniversary fun! Visit any WPL location between 2:00pm – 4:00pm to help mark this special occasion with treats, giveaways, prizes and birthday card-making activities to enjoy with friends and family.

Celebrating 150 Years

Our Kick-Off Celebrations are just the beginning. Over the coming months, WPL will be celebrating 150 years in many ways, including special programs, activities, giveaways, and stories that look back at our history while also imagining the future of WPL. It’s all about honouring 150 years of endless possibilities and looking ahead to the next 150!
